Why is there a red “X” on the photo of some listings?

The reason for the red “X” appearing on some listings is to show that the listing is currently marked is no longer available.

It says free pets for adoption, but some listings charge an adoption fee, why?

All pets listed by the owner should be free of charge. If not please report the listing to us by clicking the “report ad” button under the post. The reason why some other listings show an adoption fee, is because they are from shelters. This fee is used for them to spay and neuter, have the pets vaccinated, and many other beneficial things before releasing the pet to you. The fee is typically cheaper than it would cost for you to go an do all the things yourself.
